Evolution of the Lego C-3PO…
The C-3PO on the left is from the Original Droid Escape Set (2001) and the one on the right is from the New Droid Escape set (2012). The new C-3PO features (for the first time ever) painted eyes and full color detailing (previous one had monocolor detailing). They definitely use the same molds for the head as they are identical. The plastic coloring is closer to the real deal. Overall, I am really happy with the new C-3PO Minifig.
