He doesn’t have a dial-up modem, he is an advanced piece of technology. He can automatically connect to the internet, no modem required. Hell he carried the Death Star Plans. He can fly space ships. He can defeat the bad guys. C. R2-D2 has wheels, rockets, tazers, tools, etc… Why wouldn’t you want him with you at all times?
